Letzte Woche war noch ein Maedel im Hostel, die fuer mehrere Tage einen Trip nach Norden zum Cape Tribulation klar gemacht hatte. Sie hatte einen Deutschen abends kennengelernt, der mit dem Auto hoch fahren wollte und dafuer noch ein paar Mitreisende gesucht hat. Da hab ich mich spontan mal angeschlossen. Leider ist das ganze dann aber leider so ziemlich ins Wasser gefallen. Am Tag als wir los wollten, hat es total geregnet und da unsere Schlafstaette ein nicht ganz so wasserdichtes Zelt sein sollte, haben wir den Ausflug dann abgesagt - leider. Natuerlich hatten wir zu dem Zeitpunkt, als wir das beschlossen haben, schon alles gepackt und hatten ausgecheckt. Dann hiess es also wieder einchecken und es sich erneut bequem machen. Aus lauter Trotz hab ich mich dann auf Jobsuche begeben. War also den ganzen Tag im Internet unterwegs, um mich zu bewerben, und hab in halb Cairns in allen Gaststaetten und Verkaufsstaetten meinen Lebenslauf hinterlassen. Und siehe da...am Ende des Tages hatte ich gleich drei Jobs! Erst mal ganz lieben Dank an alle Gratulanten, SMS-, Email-Schreiber und fleissigen Paketeschicker! Hab mich riesig gefreut, dass ich auch am anderen Ende der Welt nicht vergessen wurde! :o) War fast wie Weihnachten, wo man jeden Tag ein Tuerchen aufmachen darf bevor der Weihnachtsmann schlussendlich kommt...ich durfte jeden Tag ein Paket oeffen :D Aber wir wollen mal chronologisch vorgehen und huepfen daher zurueck zu dem Wochenende vor meinem Geburtstag. Da habe ich mich mit ein paar meiner StudiVZ-Stammtischleuten am Circular Quay getroffen, die naechstbeste Faehre genommen und bin mit ihnen zur Watsons Bay aufgebrochen. Diese liegt am South Head, also dem suedlichen „Eingangstor" zum Sydney Harbour (Hab euch, damit ihr euch das mal besser vorstellen koennt die Karte auf meiner Reisebibel abfotografiert und auch unsere Wanderwege grob nachgezeichnet). Jedenfalls war die Fahrt mit der Faehre schon wieder ein Erlebnis und ich hab fleissig Fotos geknippst (trotz des erbarmungslosen Windes, der unsere Haare am offenen Heck der Faehre zerwuselt hat).
